What We Do

In Save the Children, we work for a world that respects and values each child; that promotes their participation as agents of change by listening and learning from them; that makes decisions based on the "best interests of children" to ensure all of them have opportunities to have a decent living.

We implement actions with a focus on Children' Rights, where the state is the guarantor of rights, and civil society organizations are co-responsible, assisting or monitoring the State. Our guide for action is the Convention on the Rights of the Child, and other international agreements such as the Millennium Development Goals and national regulations.

In 2012, our projects have benefited more than one million children, adolescents and adults, causing a direct impact in more than 33 000.
